Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Peace Mob is operated by Tea Tribe LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile information Google shares with us.

Your profile. If you set up a public profile, we store your username, display name, and any optional details you add — a short bio, your city or region, and a profile photo. This information is shown publicly (see “Information that's public” below).

Notification sign-ups.You can subscribe for gathering notifications without creating an account. If you do, we store your email address and, if you provide one, the city you're interested in (including its approximate coordinates) so we can tell you about nearby gatherings.

Gatherings and content. When you create or attend gatherings, we store the events you create, the gatherings you RSVP to, the offerings you sign up to bring, and any text you submit on the platform (event descriptions, location notes, profile bios).

Check-in location. When you check in at a gathering, your device shares its current location with your permission. We use it to confirm you're at the gathering and store that check-in (including the coordinates your device reported) to help us tell which gatherings are genuine. We only collect this when you choose to check in.

Messages. If you send direct messages to other members, we store the content of those messages so they can be delivered and shown in your conversations.

Host applications. If you apply to host, we collect the information on your application — your display name, the area you'd host in, your motivation, and contact and vetting details such as a phone number and social links.

Reports and contact. If you report a gathering or member, or otherwise contact us, we receive whatever you include — typically a name, an email address, and the details of your message.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the platform — show you nearby gatherings, let hosts post events, deliver direct messages, send you notifications about gatherings you've RSVP'd to or subscribed for, review host applications and reports, and keep the community safe.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to run the service (see the providers below).

Services we rely on

We use a small set of trusted providers to run Peace Mob. They process your information only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy policies:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management (handles your sign-in and account details).
  • Supabase — database hosting and live message delivery (stores the data above).
  • Google Maps Platform — maps and location autocomplete.
  • Resend — sends our emails, including notifications, confirmations, and report messages.

Information that's public

Some information is visible to others by design. Your public profile (username, display name, and any bio, location, or photo you add) can be seen by anyone. Gatherings you host are publicly listed, and your RSVPs are visible to the host and other attendees of that gathering. Don't put anything in these places you wouldn't want shown publicly.

Your choices

You can manage notification preferences in your settings, block another member from messaging you, and unsubscribe from notification emails using the link in any email we send.

You can update or delete your account at any time by contacting us. We'll remove your personal information from our active database, though backups may retain it for up to 30 days.

How we keep it safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers (above) that maintain their own safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the appropriate authorities of a breach where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our active database, though backups may retain it for up to 30 days and we may keep limited records where the law requires.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for authentication (so you stay signed in) and for basic service operation. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these, just contact us — we'll respond as the law requires and won't discriminate against you for asking.

California residents. We don't sell or share your personal information (as those terms are defined under California law), and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still exercise the access and deletion rights above.

EU/UK residents. We process your information to provide the service you've asked for (our agreement with you) and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the platform. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Children

Peace Mob is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we'll notify users by email or a prominent notice on the site.
